Christopher Bell, Executive Director of Good Counsel Homes, recently traveled to North Dakota to share his many years of experience in helping mothers and children. Chris was the guest of Mary Pat Jahner, who is the Director of Saint Gianna’s Maternity Home in Minto. As part of their 10th anniversary celebration, Chris was invited to speak with a group of priests of the Diocese of Fargo and also with the Friends of Gianna House and their Board of Directors at their annual retreat. Chris attended Vespers with the Priests on Tuesday night where afterwards he led a meditation. The following day, Chris participated in a day long program and offered two presentations that were warmly received.
Chris spoke passionately about the Good Counsel “experience.” That is, how the combination of prayer, advocacy, and speaking out on behalf of mothers and children is needed not only to help more mothers and children, but also works toward our country regaining its moral and spiritual strength. Chris said, “Where there is love, there is life. And where there is life, there are always infinite possibilities.”
Mary Pat expressed her gratitude for Chris’s time with Saint Gianna’s saying, “Chris is just a wealth of information and inspiration when it comes to promoting all things prolife. We’ve been celebrating our 10th Anniversary throughout the year and it was truly a privilege and an honor to have Chris be a part of it.”
