Babies live, babies die: Where are you?

Babies, and those who are lost to abortion, are ever remembered every day by prolifers throughout the world. In the United States, we remember most especially on January 22nd  when the largest and longest human rights march in Washington D.C. continues as thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands, gather marking the 42nd year since an abominable U.S. Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade

The March for Life, “The largest and longest-running peaceful human rights demonstration for the unborn.” (MSNBC), is only a snapshot of the literal millions of Americans who work, support, and pray to protect, defend, cherish, and nurture every single conceived life from the first moment of conception until natural death.

You who are supporting our humble mission at Good Counsel, housing, feeding, counseling mothers during and after pregnancy, are very much a part of this family for Life! As part of our family, you are part of a life chain saving, reverencing, and raising babies, with their moms, who others have rejected and condemned. You should know that Good Counsel marks 30 years of service this year and we pray, with your continued financial and spiritual support, we’ll be here for many more mothers and babies who need us today, tomorrow, and next year.

Since 1985, thousands of moms and babies have been helped in innumerable ways. We count some 900 babies born in our homes, 45 born just last year. Good Counsel began 2015 with two births already, a beautiful baby girl and a bouncing baby boy – with several more due to arrive any day!

This week especially as we commemorate 42 years of government protected abortion, the more than 55 million surgical abortions (not counting hormonal pills, patches, and IUDs which end the life of newly fertilized babies), we also sadly recall the mothers, fathers, and siblings who are suffering because of the loss of these children. Even a person who without coercion and willingly planned and paid for an abortion, may come to consciously regret and grieve the loss of their child. For all those who are sorry, God can forgive. Jesus died for every sin. When I speak, I need to repeat this, Jesus died for and forgives those who are sorry after having an abortion.

Good Counsel’s Lumina program is our confidential counseling and referral source for anyone in the country who’s experienced abortion and seeking hope. One need not be Catholic, Christian, or any religion. One only need to want hope instead of suffering silently after an abortion.

Please, let us pray and continue to work together to end the loss of children and the suffering of mothers and fathers and siblings. Truly, the loss of a single child is a loss to us all.

Your generosity allows Good Counsel to reach mothers and save more babies from abortion. You also allow hearts and minds to change from despair to hope. Good Counsel’s message is that where there is life, there is hope.

Please donate today and allow a pregnant mom the help she needs to give her baby a birth date.
