Many of our readers have wondered about the twins whose ultrasound picture garnered a lot of interest on our blog and our social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. At a time when so much horrifying information was coming to light as a result of the undercover investigation at Planned Parenthood by the Center for Medical Progress, an ultrasound of the twins our Good Counsel mom, Amanda, was carrying, offered hope and joy to those so disheartened by the culture of death.
Now we can celebrate with Amanda, her 3-year-old son, Joshua, and her new baby boy and girl, Jermaine and Jazmine! Delivery went well, however, the twins were on the small side weighing just a bit over four pounds each. Both had to have a short stay in the NICU, with Jermaine coming home first, followed by Jazmine a few days later.Asked how she was doing, Amanda said, “the twins are doing well, and growing. I am adjusting to having two babies. They are most comfortable in the fetal position and when held close to the heart.” New big brother, Joshua, is doing well with both of his new siblings. Amanda said, “he prefers his sister, Jazmine, but is warming up to Jermaine. He is a big help, reading to the babies, and throwing diapers away for me.”
Now that the family is all together at the Bronx home, Amanda expressed her appreciation for the “staff who has been supporting me and assisting me during this life event because I was very scared. Good Counsel has supplied me with everything I needed for my twins.”
Bronx House Manager, Carina, praised Amanda saying, “she is doing very well. She tries very hard at being a good mother for all three children. She is quick to ask for help when she needs it and is eager to learn how to take care of the needs of all three children. We offer to assist Amanda whenever she needs a nap or a break, but she is bonding well and enjoying the children’s development.”
Please keep Amanda and her family in your prayers. Thank you for your ongoing support and prayers for Good Counsel. Because of you, we are able to continue our mission of helping homeless, pregnant women take the next best step in life.
Because of you, when a woman chooses to say, “yes!” to life, we are able to say, “we are here for you!” Please, help us be there for more homeless, pregnant women like Amanda.Make a Donation
