We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for purchasing gifts for loved ones – Black Friday and Cyber Monday. And now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, individuals and organizations around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
We at Good Counsel know that, for Catholics, generosity and giving have a profound meaning. We are called to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and give shelter to the homeless. Compelled to action by our shared faith, Giving Tuesday provides excellent motivation and opportunity to live out our mission.
With so many in need – how do you decide where to turn your attention and resources? We’ve seen, for the better part of the past year, the absolute horror that is Planned Parenthood. The Center for Medical Progress has put the reality of the culture of death on display like never before. So many of us are left to wonder, “but what can I do?”
On this Giving Tuesday, let us #GiveProlife. We invite you to read about our mothers and babies and their successes and about what we do here at Good Counsel. We then ask that you pray about it and give generously this Giving Tuesday, but let’s take it a step further with our own message of #GiveProlife.
By donating to Good Counsel, you will give a mother and child a new life through the love, care, and Life Skills training they will receive while being a part of our Good Counsel family.
