This week, Atlanta” becomes “Lifelanta” as the 45th Heartbeat International Conference “Celebrating Heroes” gets underway March 29th – 31st in Georgia. Sponsored by Save the Storks, this year’s conference offers inspirational keynote speakers and 75 prolife workshops facilitated by prominent leaders in the pregnancy help movement. Heartbeat’s life-saving vision is to make abortion unwanted today and unthinkable for future generations.
Proud to be part of the mission of Heartbeat International, Christopher Bell, President and Co-Founder of Good Counsel, and Theresa Bonopartis, Director of Lumina Hope & Healing After Abortion, will both present workshops at this year’s conference.
Chris will facilitate “Walking the Paths of Spiritual Health,” exploring the three levels of the Spiritual Life and how psychological health (yours or others) may help or hinder growth in the Lord. Follow the psychological and spiritual path taken by many saints and sinners on their way to union with God.
Theresa will offer a workshop on “Abortion’s Impact on Siblings,” shedding light on how a mother’s abortion impacts her other children. The siblings of an aborted child are never untouched, and they often need healing. Attendees will take a look at the dynamics of abortion on a family and learn how to reach out with hope and healing.
In addition to the above workshops, Chris will lead a panel discussion/workshop on “How to Start a Housing Program,” along with Kathy DiFiore of Several Sources Shelter and Anne Pierson of Loving & Caring Ministry. The panel workshop will offer a unique opportunity to hear three top maternity housing leaders – each with over 30 years’ experience – talk through how to open and sustain a maternity home. Think through everything you need to get started and don’t forget to bring your questions, concerns, and dreams!
