I have an urgent message regarding Hurricane Harvey’s impact on Good Counsel Mary’s Shelter–our home in the Gulf Coast region.  As millions are affected by Hurricane Harvey, House Manager of Good Counsel’s Gulf Coast home, Linda Glover, says, “We are preparing for an influx of new residents from Texas and Louisiana. We are already over capacity, but I will not turn any pregnant mom away. I have gathered the roll-aways to place in the chapel, and we have pull-out sofa beds in the living room.”

Good Counsel Mary’s Shelter is currently home to 13 moms and 10 children, and we’re getting ready for pregnant mothers in dire need from Texas and Louisiana to be calling for a place to live. These expectant moms will have nothing with them – NOTHING – but, as Linda says, we will not turn them away!

Please help Good Counsel during this extremely difficult time for so many in the Gulf Coast region, especially the homeless, pregnant mothers who lost everything and are in need of our help.

By donating today, you will help Good Counsel to save mothers and babies devastated by Hurricane Harvey. Here’ s how:

  • $100 will purchase transportation for a pregnant mom to come to our Gulf Coast home from Texas or Louisiana.
  • $250 will transport a mom to one of our homes in the Northeast, if necessary.
  • $1,000 will buy food and basic supplies for Good Counsel Mary’s Shelter for one month.
  • $5,000 will provide professional counseling for a mom for a full year.

Please support Good Counsel Mary’s Shelter now, so together we can provide a loving, safe home for the mothers and babies that will arrive soon at our door!

Thanks and God Bless You!
