With great joy and gratitude, Christopher Bell and the Board of Directors invite you to Good Counsel’s Twenty-Fifth Annual Communion Lunch for the benefit of mothers and babies on Staten Island.  Join us on Saturday, November 11, 2017, St. Joseph’s Church, 266 Tompkins Ave., Staten Island, NY 10305.  Mass at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch at 12:30 p.m. across the street in the school hall.

Good Counsel is blessed by donors near and far who generously support our ministry in traditional fundraising ways like events, walks, dinners, and even formal galas.  But lately we’ve noticed that others are fundraising for Good Counsel on their own!

We’re Doing what Father Benedict Told Us to Do, thanks to you!

It is hard to believe that it is now three years since my dear friend and Good Counsel co-founder, Father Benedict Groeschel, CFR, passed away. He died on October 3, 2014 on the eve of the feast of St. Francis of Assisi.

Before his passing, when I asked for his advice, Fr. Benedict told me to “just grow.”  Just three years later, we now have seven homes with the addition of Good Counsel Mary’s Shelter Gulf Coast and Good Counsel Malta House of CT. On average 115 mothers and babies are cared for each day at Good Counsel. Read More
