Help Us to Never Have to Say "No" to a Mother with Child

No one ever said that giving a home to desperate young mothers would be easy. It takes long days, endless nights, and there’s the constant struggle to pay the bills and keep the doors open. But once you’ve seen a mother rock her newborn baby gently in her arms, you know you’d face all these again — if you could save just one more mother and one more child.

In 2012, through Good Counsel, friends like you provided a safe haven to 115 mothers and 106 children, including 45 babies born from mothers in our homes. If not for your support, many of these precious children might never have been born! But that was only the beginning. Through your generosity, Good Counsel gave each mother a chance to build a future for her baby.

With your help, Good Counsel helps a mom finish her education and get a good job so that she can give her child a stable home in a place of their own. We teach her practical skills, like how to cook and how to manage a budget.
