Memorial In Honor of Richard E. Reeder

Dick Reeder with his wife Sheila at Good Counsel’s Ball For Life
Dick Reeder was an exceptional representative and diligent fundraiser for Good Counsel from 1998 until he went home to the Lord during Mass on Sunday, July 17, 2005. Richard Endres Reeder was born in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, but spent most of his early years in Arlington, Virginia. In 1956 he graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Polytechnical Institute in Blacksburg, Virginia. In 1961, he went on to earn his Master's degree in business administration from Syracuse University. Dick worked as a mechanical engineer for the Exxon Corporation for 32 years. In 1988 he retired from business to work full-time with the pro-life movement. He began with the American Life League which led him to establish the organization, Pro-Life Athletes. Dick was 71 years old when he left us and his wife of 43 years, Sheila, two sons, Bill and Tom and two daughters, Elizabeth Strauss and Mary Budd and a total of eight grandchildren.
