    • Lord, all glory and honor are yours. We thank you for this day that you give unto us. Help us in understanding your will for us throughout the day and lead us with your gift of faith to obey your word and act in truth as well as love.
Assist us in understanding that the art of living is directly tied to the act of forgiving (this includes forgiving ourselves) and moving into relationships building trust. There will always be obstacles to work through, hills to climb, and adversity around every corner. May our souls begin to understand this and may we be open to your intervention applying wisdom, courage, and serenity throughout the day to reap the spoils of growth. With growth in our faith and development in our relationships may we begin to build a foundation of trust needed to take on tomorrow's unidentified challenges and opportunities, cultivating these tests into the pathway to your excellence.
Help us to start the day forgiving everybody, everything so that we can focus on your will and sharing the trust we form intimately relating to you with our neighbor. Let us reconcile our past so it doesn't mess up our present. Only with understanding your grace will we begin to let go of our sin and begin casting your love out into the world.
We pray for those carrying heavy burdens into the day that the chains, pains, and suffering they are going through can be laid at the foot of your cross. That your comfort and healing mercy replaces the distraught anguish we feel enveloping us in your love. And may this love be enough to shine some rays of hope and make this day anew again.
In the name of Jesus we pray.

    • Lord, all praise, honor, and thanks are to be given unto you. You sent your Son into this world to show us the Way, He has and continually does. Open our eyes to the message He constantly shares with us His brothers and sisters, your children.
Guide us to hear His message in the Gospel today – ‘Be Not Afraid’. Grace us with the faith to step out into the unknown knowing you are there with us every step of the way as we fulfill your will. Dear Lord, you know what's best for us, assist us in surrendering to your direction. Give us the strength to become more intimate with you, selflessly obeying your command, sharing your fostered love with all your creation. Motivate our passion to be your passion so that you may take great pleasure in our living and smile down upon us more and more each day.
Jesus, I pray for the Babies & mothers at Good Counsel, that they see the cross you bore for all of us taking on our sin, pain, and sorrow so we can have a relationship with our Father who promises us his love. Give us in need the courage to imitate your way accepting our own daily crosses knowing you are there to support us through every moment in the day. Give us the faith to ‘Be Not Afraid’ as we walk into every new unknown.
      In Jesus' name we pray.

    • Lord, guide us in your loving way when it comes to relating with our foes. Give us the strength and understanding to act as Jesus has taught us. If we are struck on one cheek let us turn and give the other. Not to be taken advantage of but to emulate God's mercy and reflect His divine love.
Please assist us in truly implementing forgiveness - help us in understanding that to forgive is to let go, with no strings attached commencing the road to reconciliation and fostering a path to establishing trust.
      In Jesus' name we pray.

    • Having been raised Jewish and then Protestant, and not joining the Catholic church till I was 50 (I'm 75 now) I didn't understand the many taboos against friendship with priests and ran into trouble when I was in counseling with a priest and told him all my past sins and he forgave me in Jesus name. What happened is called transference in psychological terms but I became too attached to him and he dropped me. Now I am hurt and feel judged as a terrible sinner although I didn't do anything I thought was wrong. Because they made me feel I'm bad I don't feel close to the Lord as I used to. On the whole being Catholic is a downer and if not for the eucharist I would leave but I need the eucharist. Pray for me please. I hurt.

    • Lord, we give you thanks and praise for your love and never-ending grace. Help us to understand your divine love is a constant - that you love us through every moment of our spiritual development.
Truly your ways are not always our ways, help us to change (repent) and foster your Spirit into a reflection of your love. May we realize that anger and frustration corrupt from the inside out, which is why your Spirit never angers. Fill us with the fruit of your Spirit - Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, & Self-control.
Open our eyes to the plans you have in store for us and guide us to live in you so you can live in us. Teach us as your creation to take pleasure in what you've created, to bring pleasure to You while glorifying your name.
Please look with favor upon those who have lost their way; comfort the sick, provide for the meek, humble those who become self-righteous, fulfill our everyday needs, and lead us away from temptation so that we can share your love with our neighbor by wholeheartedly obeying your Will.
In the name of Jesus we pray.
