We love to share stories with you about what goes on at a Good Counsel home.  We love to show you what is accomplished because of your prayerful and faithful support.  Recently, some of our New York staff visited Good Counsel Mary’s Shelter Gulf Coast and the agenda was packed. But, you never know what’s going to happen on a visit to a Good Counsel Home!

The marathon of meetings was interrupted not once, not twice, but three times!  In the span of just a couple of hours, three moms began experiencing labor pains and were taken to the hospital via ambulance!  How exciting!  One staff member who was tasked with taking photos and video on the visit, had his video camera ready for the controlled chaos that ensued. Watch this video to see a "typical" day at Good Counsel.

It’s unsettling to think about where these moms and babies would be if they didn’t live at a Good Counsel home. What would happen when the time came to give birth?  Who would call the ambulance if she lived on the streets?  Who would hold her hand and calm her fears at the hospital? Who would be there to rejoice with her when her beautiful baby arrived?
