April was filled with joy across Good Counsel as three precious baby boys were welcomed into the world — each one a beautiful reminder of the dignity of life, the strength of mothers, and the love made possible when women are surrounded with real support.

At the beginning of the month, Ashley joyfully welcomed her beautiful baby boy, River, on April 6. River weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces and measured 19 inches long. He is already so deeply loved, and both mother and baby are doing well. We rejoice with Ashley as she begins this precious new chapter of motherhood.

Later in the month, the Bronx Home welcomed baby Sergio Gabriel into the world. On April 25, Glaudy delivered a beautiful baby boy weighing 5 pounds, 8 ounces and measuring 51 centimeters long. Though Sergio gave his mother a difficult time during delivery, Glaudy showed incredible strength. Afterward, baby Sergio was quiet and tired, peacefully soaking in this new world, while Mom was grateful and relieved. In a moving moment, Glaudy cried as she thanked Good Counsel for being by her side during one of the most difficult — and most beautiful — moments of her life.

Just two days later, the Spring Valley House celebrated the arrival of Forest, born on Monday morning, April 27. Forest weighed 7 pounds and measured 20 inches long. Both mother and baby are doing well as they begin this joyful new chapter together.

Each of these births tells a story of courage, hope, and love. Behind every baby welcomed at Good Counsel is a mother who deserves to feel safe, supported, and never alone. Through the prayers, generosity, and compassion of our Good Counsel family, mothers are given more than shelter — they are given encouragement, dignity, and the steady presence of people who will walk with them through both the hardest and most beautiful moments.

Please join us in praying for Ashley and River, Glaudy and Sergio Gabriel, and Yanique and Forest. May these mothers be strengthened in the days ahead, and may these precious baby boys continue to grow surrounded by love, peace, and grace.
